Winter Weather Advisory issued January 7 at 1:38AM PST until January 8 at 10:00AM PST by NWS Medford OR
Two fronts will bring impactful winter weather to the area through
Thursday morning. One early this morning, then, after a brief break,
another this afternoon into Thursday morning. Snow levels will fall
to 3000 to 3500 feet this morning, then drop to the higher passes
north of Grants Pass this afternoon to as low as 1400 feet this
evening into Thursday morning. This will bring significant snow to
the Cascades, northern Klamath County and some west side areas.
* WHAT...Snow expected above 1400 ft in Eastern Curry County and
Josephine County. Snow amounts of a dusting to 2 inches down to
1400 feet, but 2 to 5 inches above 2500 feet.
* WHERE...Above 1400 feet in Eastern Curry County and Josephine
County.
Including the locations of...Cave Junction, Obrien, Selma.

Hayes Hill Summit on Highway 199 at 1598 ft.
Sexton Summit Pass on I-5 at 1936 ft.
Stage Road Pass on I-5 at 1830 ft.
Smith Hill Summit on I-5 at 1725 ft.
